Needles “7 Cuts” Over Dye Black Flannel Shirt

Keizo Shimizu's design process involves taking seven individual vintage flannel shirts, cutting them into distinct vertical strips, and stitching them together into a single cohesive garment.  The entire piece is finished with a deep black over-dye bath. This treatment darkens the panels while still allowing the varying textures, weights, and subtle underlying colors—like the striking grey plaid stripe on the left chest panel—to remain visible. Because it is upcycled from diverse vintage parts, every single shirt is a completely unique, one-of-one item.
